The Tulane Public Service Fellows Program selects undergraduates for a yearlong fellowship as “community organizers in training.” Fellows are placed with a local community organization working on social-justice issues such as mass incarceration, LGBTQ rights, immigration justice, and other issues. In addition to working with and learning from their partner, Public Service Fellows take a yearlong platform course, “Liberatory Education and Ethical Service,” co-taught by faculty, students, and community partners.
