Promoting the Art and Science of Flourishing Among College Students: Development of the Penn State Student Flourishing Network

Description:

“The Art and Science of Human Flourishing” is a general education course, designed to assist students in cultivating their well-being and exploring what it means to live a life of flourishing. The course was developed at the flagship University Park campus of Penn State University.  A Multi-Institutional Innovation Grant from BT2P supported its adoption in seven branch campuses of the Penn State system.  Faculty from the flagship and branch campuses created the Penn State Student Flourishing Network and launched a summer institute to prepare teachers on such core themes as mindfulness, empathy, and student mental health.
