Linking Service-Learning and Critical Thinking

Description:

With support from a BT2P Program Start-Up Grant, Towson University undertook a small-scale study of the effect of service-learning on students’ personal, academic, and civic development.  In a single service-learning course, it documented outcomes in civic responsibility, academic engagement, career orientation, diversity awareness, social and emotional well-being, and critical thinking.
