The Gonzales Community Solutions Laboratory (Co-Lab) is a collaboration between the city of Gonzales, an agricultural community in Monterey County, California, and two Monterey academic institutions: California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and the Middlebury Institute for International Studies (MIIS).  The Co-Lab supports research and service-learning projects that can offer solutions to community challenges prioritized by Gonzales’ civic and community stakeholders.  Support from a Bringing Theory to Practice Multi-Institutional Innovation Grant helps to fund the Co-Lab’s projects and stipends for faculty and student participants.
